PACE is designed so people contribute according to their experience, profession, location and capacity. Together, these functions create a cycle of understanding, direction, expertise and action.
The Stewardship Council protects PACE’s purpose and provides long-term organisational direction.
Its role: set priorities, protect values and independence, review major areas of work, identify expertise and support responsible growth.
Who fits: people with integrity, sound judgement, relevant experience and commitment to long-term community development.
Insight contributors help PACE understand local realities, emerging needs, opportunities and community perspectives.
Their role: observe, listen, identify, share and help PACE ask better questions.
They may include community leaders, professionals, researchers, young people and people with direct experience of an issue.
Professionals and experienced contributors help turn information into informed thinking.
Their role: analyse issues, review evidence, challenge assumptions, develop guidance, roadmaps and recommendations, and contribute to informed communication.
Depending on the issue, PACE may convene educators, academics, entrepreneurs, lawyers, doctors, researchers, technologists and other specialists.
The Impact Alliance connects independent organisations and individuals who can apply relevant ideas within their own work.
Their role: explore suitable recommendations, contribute practical experience, participate in initiatives, share learning and help turn knowledge into measurable activity.
Eyes: What is happening?
Brain: What deserves attention?
Voice: What do evidence and expertise suggest?
Hands: What can appropriately be applied?
Learning: What changed and what should improve?
PACE becomes stronger when knowledge flows in both directions.
